The Centre is able to provide legal assistance to clients in most areas of law, including family law, consumer law and neighbourhood disputes. My Community Legal (MCL) is an independent initiative of the Gold Coast District Law Association and many collaborators. We offer local practitioners and law students who intend to become lawyers the opportunity to serve the people of Gold Coast and Tweed by providing free legal services to those who need them but cannot afford them. The Gold Coast Community Legal Centre can advise you on a number of general areas of law Our partners are at the heart of the operation of this not-for-profit law firm. We now have a social work service in our centre which is available to clients who are also receiving legal aid and our head office is located in the centre of Southport. We also provide legal services in offices located at the southern and northern ends of the Gold Coast. Legal advice and assistance is available from Monday to Friday between 8:30 am and 4:00 pm by appointment and on Tuesday evenings from 5 pm at our night clinic. Our lawyers provide free legal advice and assistance to individuals through in-person appointments or by phone at our offices in Southport, Ormeau and Kirra Hill, which serve residents throughout the Gold Coast region. Our Southport office is open Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for appointments. We also organize a clinic on Tuesday evenings from 5pm for those who cannot make an appointment during working hours.
